Jokes apart Russell Peters, one of the world's finest comedy superstars is all set to entertain audiences across India yet again. During his previous visit Russell Peters had sold out shows and audiences clamored for more. Need your funny bones activated? Watch Russell Live as he entertains Bangalore, Kolkata, Delhi and Mumbai respectively. Starting Bangalore Russell will perform on 18th Oct at Chowdaiah Memorial Hall; Kolkatta 23rd Oct at Science City; Delhi 29th Oct at Sirifort Auditorium and 27th Oct at Shanmukhananda Hall, Mumbai.

The 20th Anniversary Tour features not only his 'greatest hits' of the past 20 years, but also all new material since his last visit to India in 2007.

Russell brings Indian enthusiasm into his Canadian upbringing while he performs live on stage and keeps the audience the world across engrossed with his wry and hang it all humor. He often parodies his parents and South Asian culture. Much of his comedy speaks to immigrant communities around the world – India, Arab, Caribbean, Chinese, Filipino, Korean, Vietnamese and other South and Southeast Asian communities.

Being of Indian origin, he enjoys the support of the community living abroad. The Indian community around the world has been extremely supportive of Russell over the last 18 years of his career. But so have other Asian communities like the Chinese, Filipino and Pakistani Communities. In Canada, the majority of his audience is white Canadians, Europeans and people from the Caribbean.

The Anglo Indian was born in Toronto and grew up in Brampton, Ontario. His family moved to Brampton in 1975. He presently lives in Los Angeles. Speaking of his Calcutta origin, he says, "All of my mother's family, going back to my great grandmother, was born in Calcutta. Even my brother, who's also my manager, was born in Calcutta. I have uncles, aunts and several cousins who still live in Calcutta."

Russell has been nominated for four Gemini Awards . He has been featured at Montreal's Just for Laughs Comedy Festival, HBO's Aspen Comedy Festival, the Edinburgh (Scotland) Comedy Festival and many others across the globe. His TV appearances include CBC's Comics! And two one-hour Comedy Now! Specials on the Comedy Network in Canada. His Comedy Now! performance of February 2004 is one of the network's most popular shows of all time.

In June 2007, Russell became the first comedian to sell-out Toronto's Air Canada Centre – performing for over 30,000 fans over two nights. In addition to this first-time feat, in February 2008, Russell became one of only a handful of comedians to ever headline and sell-out the world famous Madison Square Garden – where he recorded his latest DVD/CD, Red, White and Brown.

When fans placed segments of the special on the internet it created a global demand for Russell comedy and his popularity exploded With over 20 million views on Youtube, his website, www.russellpeters.com, gets over 10,000 hits a day and alerts his many fans to his upcoming shows via targeted email blasts. He has performed in China, South Africa, Australia, Sri Lanka, Vietnam, Jamaica, St. Martens, Trinidad, Singapore, and United Arab Emirates and in 2007, was his India performance.
