Chennai’s namma (own) radio, Radio City 91.1FM is capturing the piety of the

sacred Margazhi Music Season LIVE on-air. >From December 16-23, 2008, Chennai’s Radio City 91.1FM with ‘Margazhi Mahotsavam’ (Festival of Music) is bringing the city its very own musical extravaganza featuring some of Chennai’s best Carnatic musical talents. As part of ‘Margazhi Mahotsavam’ (Festival of Music), the FM station will feature LIVE interviews with some of Chennai’s most gifted classical musicians. Some of them are:

1. Vocal artiste Sikkil C.Gurucharan, a disciple of Vaigal Sri S.Gnanaskandan for more than 12 years

2. Multi-faceted Carnatic performer Kuldeep M. Pai arduously trained in vocal as well as instrumental music, adept as playing several accompanying instruments manifests

3. Up-coming playback singer, Hindustani vocalist and much sought-after on-stage performer Srileka Parthasarathi

4. Recipient of the prestigious ‘National CCRT Scholarship for Carnatic Classical Vocal’ from the Indian Government, Saindhavi - an ardent student of music, learning classical Carnatic and Hindustani Music
