India’s most popular prime time linear family comedy show on SAB, ‘Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah’ celebrated the completion of its 100th episode yesterday amidst a lot of laughter and comic chaos. The famous comic duo of Jethalal (Dilip Joshi) and Dayaben (Disha Vakani) along with their family and friends of Gokuldham Co-op Housing Society were present for the celebrations on Television’s largest outdoor sets. Every one who is a part of the hit series was seen rejoicing as fun and frolic filled the special celebrations. The party was a prelude to the fun filled 100th episode which will air on Thursday, February 5, 2009 at 8:30 pm on SAB.

A feel of accomplishment was truly sensed amongst all cast and crew members as they proudly kept the fun-o-meter running high throughout the 100 episodes and kept the viewers glued to their seats.
Congratulating the team on completing 100 laughter filled episodes, Mr. Anooj Kapoor, Business Head, SAB said, “Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah has delivered its promise of being a complete family entertainer. Today, it is the most successful show on our channel and we are confident that the show will further grow from strength to strength.”
On this special occasion, the emotional Dilip Joshi (Jethalal) said, “It is a sheer pleasure to be a part of this series and it is unthinkable, how a humorous column called ‘Duniya Na Undha Chasmah’ in popular magazines and publications has taken off to become one of the best all time popular comedy shows on Indian television.” The fabulously famous Disha Vakani (Dayaben) continued to amuse everyone with her patent styled dialogues and behavior.
An enchanting package of amusement and emotion filled the sets as the cast cut the cake and celebrated in the true “Taarak Mehta” style with fun and craziness at its best. Don’t forget to tune into SAB TV tonight at 8:30 pm and catch the100th episode only on SAB.
