Centuries have witnessed the mayhem when two families have stood tall to oppose the blooming love between their offspring’s, surprisingly when the same love was once advocated and let by them to cultivate. Scenarios further go unanswered when the heads of these very families were once epitome of true friendship. As such classical Indian stories of love and friendship have always been passionate in content, and never failed to appeal to the soul in us. The latest offering from SaharaOne Television ‘Jo Ishq Ki Marzi Woh Rab ki Marzi’ will present a legendary love saga, a love story set in times (circa 1850), when family affection and love supersede all other values. It is in such times that two youngsters fall in love and decide to rebel against their family honor, egos and tempers and declare love the true religion.

Jo Ishq ki Marzi Woh Rab Ki Marzi”, narrates the saga of two Zamindaar families, whose patriarchs, UdayVeer and Bhanupratap, were once best friends. Their friendship was the stuff that legends are made of and their children Sumer and Sunaina were brought up by them in a cultured environment & been taught the values and virtues of love. Such was their friendship that within & outside their family they encouraged their children to mature as immortal lovers. Amidst such powerful bond of friendship and the blooming love between their children what transpired that the very virtues UdayVeer and Bhanupratap stood for & advocated become vile in their eyes? Why did the love they once instilled & exhorted in their children hearts becomes the very reason for them to turn into the bitterest of foes?

Set in pre-British Central India “Jo Ishq Ki Marzi Woh Rab Ki Marzi” has the essence of soil and culture weaved into joint Indian family values and festivities, and is a visual narration of eternal love with the dramatic premise of hatred and revenge. It is a powerful tale of love with strong underlying currents of love and affection between brother and sister, between father and daughter/son, and between brothers and one that supersedes family honor, egos and tempers. Family values are an important aspect of the show blended with immortal love amidst animosity.

Jo Ishq Ki Marzi Woh Rab Ki Marzi unfolds the story of young lovers, Sumer and Sunaina whose love story is paved with jealousy, misunderstanding, heartbreak, betrayal and revenge and now bears the responsibility to unite & bring back the good old virtues once imbibed in them by their own families.
