NewsX had recently entered into a two year distribution deal with FAMS. Under the agreement FAMS with its extensive expertise in consulting and assisting broadcasters, will provide the requisite support to the channel by placing the channel across India and expanding its viewer network. Within 2 weeks of the partnership, NewsX is now available on 1.73 million more C&S homes across the three key metros – 638,000 in Delhi, 765,000 in Mumbai and 325,000 in Hyderabad.
NewsX will soon be upgrading its distribution in Bengaluru, Chennai, Kolkata and few more networks of Delhi & Mumbai.
Accentuating the importance of reach, both in terms of content and accessibility, Mr. Gautam Mukerjea, Marketing Director, INX News, said, "Ever since the channel launched, the content delivery and time spent as per TAM ratings has shown consistent growth. Clearly, the new distribution partnership with FAMS seems to be working exceedingly well and the numbers has been most encouraging. This leaves no room for any doubt that NewsX will soon propel itself to becoming one of the most viewed English news channels in the days and weeks to come."
The partnership with FAMS will enable NewsX to be received by an estimated 20 million homes in the key English Speaking markets. With immediate access to millions of DTH homes, a freely competitive environment and a product that is unique on the dial, NewsX believes it is poised to become the next great Indian news channel. To further strengthen its position NewsX also plans to take up various trade-marketing initiatives to engage the cable fraternity.
