The 2009 general elections turned out to be one of the most fiercely fought battles between the Congress led UPA and BPJ led NDA. Citizens of India have ruled it in favour of the UPA giving it a second chance to run the show for India. The recent market upsurge and an overall environment currently prevailing in the country is a reflection of the welcome of the UPA. Now, as India expects a more stable coalition, CNBC AWAAZ brings out the agenda with which the UPA will embark on their second innings.

It is a fresh start for the new government at helm and CNBC AWAAZ, India’s No. 1 Business Channel has taken the initiative to highlight the issues facing the country and measure the administration’s performance through its programming platform “100 DAYS - SARKAR KA AGENDA”. As a part of this series, CNBC AWAAZ will highlight the agenda that lies in front of the new Government during its first 100 days and also take periodic stock of whether the Government is able to achieve everything that is enlisted in the said agenda. The series will feature a jury of eminent experts explaining the finer aspects of the agenda and how the said policies would impact the political scenario. The jury will rate the new government on the steps taken by them to fulfil the first 100 Days’ agenda. With a view to edify the citizens, CNBC AWAAZ will run a scoreboard displaying the score for 100 Days to continuously reflect the performance of the government.
Speaking on the special series, Mr. Sanjay Pugalia, Editor-in-chief, CNBC AWAAZ, said, "100 Days – Sarkar Ka Agenda is a series of special programming, to bring forward the economic, fiscal, social and other relevant issues in India and how the government could shape their first 100 days after formation. CNBC AWAAZ will analyze, evaluate and rate the new government’s initiatives which will help ease the said issues and give a head start to their tenure."

For any administration, first 100 days in office are nothing short of an acid test. The common manifesto brought out by the coalition government will try its best to tackle issues at hand viz. poverty, unemployment, illiteracy, corruption, economic disparities and most importantly the volatile fiscal situation. This would mean some tough decisions to be taken by the administrators.
The most important task facing the government is to decipher what is the change that India needs. Everyone is wondering what the new Government will bring to the table to be able to fulfil its promises in the wake of the current global scenario. 100 DAYS - SARKAR KA AGENDA is devised to bring out just that.
“100 DAYS - SARKAR KA AGENDA” will be telecast on CNBC AWAAZ from May 22, 2009 - 8pm onwards and will include:

Sarkar Ka Agenda – Review: Six half hour panel discussions taking stock of government’s progress vis-à-vis its agenda of first 100 days on a fortnightly basis.
Additionally, CNBC AWAAZ will also feature the views of these experts in its regular programming. In an innovative move the channel will display a score board to continuously measure the performance of the government.
This special programming on CNBC AWAAZ is another step by the channel to make the functioning of the government more transparent.
