Channel 7 joins DishTV platform

DishTV, India’s first Direct-to-Home (DTH) service, has added Channel 7 to its bouquet. With the addition of the Jagran group news channel, the total strength of television channels offered by DishTV has gone to 113.

The information seeking Indian viewer can now watch over 20 news channels on the DishTV platform. This offering also includes exclusive news channels like CNN Headline News, Euro News and Eurosport News, apart from all the other Indian English and Hindi news channels.

The DishTV service offers – for the very first time in India – the opportunity for TV viewers to upgrade to an exponentially superior format by providing satellite channels of DVD video quality. They can now watch 113 channels, 19 of them exclusive to DishTV, in digital format, as compared to the analog format supplied by cables. What this means in simple words is that the picture quality is one experienced with DVDs, and the sound is stereophonic. A huge plus is the guarantee of absolutely no interruptions in the transmission.
