Chhota Bheem, POGO’s littlest hero packed a huge punch during the world premiere of the "Chhota Bheem Aur Krishna" movie with an ace rating of 1.6 TVR. Aired on the occasion of Krishna Janamashtami, the unparalleled performance made POGO, Indian kids’ favourite channel, the number one national channel beating all other TV genres.

Krishna Desai, Director, Programming, Turner International India Pvt. Ltd., said, "Chhota Bheem has won over millions of viewers with his fun-loving nature and adventurous spirit. Its recent ratings success for the premiere of Chhota Bheem Aur Krishna is a testament to our homegrown hero’s appeal to viewers of all ages. As a leader in kids’ entertainment, we’ll continue to re-create popular Indian stories that instantly strike a chord with our viewers."

Earlier this year Chhota Bheem, Turner’s first co-production with Hyderabad based Green Gold studios bagged "The Best Animated TV Series (Released)" award at the ‘Golden Cursor Awards 2009’. Turner, through its leading kids’ channels – Cartoon Network and POGO - has actively supported the Indian animation industry by aggressively promoting, investing and acquiring compelling productions.

Currently in its second season, Chhota Bheem is inspired by the legendary Bheem from the Mahabharata. Bheem stands for his strength and integrity. This fictional take revolves around iconic Bheem, as a brave and intelligent nine year old boy from an imaginary village Dholakpur, who loves to eat and always offers a helping hand to his friends and other villagers.
