Rejoice the victory of good over evil this Dussehra, with India’s favourite kids’ channel – POGO, as it brings alive the age old epic tales with an exciting line-up of shows and movies. The festive line-up brings together the top rated, gripping and highly popular Indian animation programs and will be aired on Monday, 28 September, from 9:00 a.m. onwards. The special line includes classic saga - Ramayana: The Legend of Prince Rama, the exciting escapades of Chhota Bheem and an account of the life journey of Demon King – Ravan in Ravan Mahayodhya.

Krishna Desai, Director, Programming, Turner International India Pvt. Kids can begin their day with the fun adventures of their favourite Chhota Bheem and his friends in the Chhota Bheem Marathon. Beginning at 9:00 a.m. on September 28, this fictional tale revolves around iconic Bheem, a brave and intelligent nine year old boy from an imaginary village – Dholakpur, who loves to eat and always offers a helping hand to his friends and other villagers.

POGO will showcase Ravan Mahayodhya on September 28 at 12:00 Noon. The story revolves around the life-journey of the King of Lanka – Ravan. Under the guidance of his father, Ravan grasped vast knowledge, learnt sacred texts like Vedas and mastered Holy Scriptures. The movie depicts how Ravan confronted Lord Shiva with his attempt to take over his abode - Mount Kailash and how he got punished for it. To show his repentance, Ravan worshipped Lord Shiva with unconditional devotion for the rest of his life. Did Lord Shiva forgive him? Celebrations don’t stop here. POGO will telecast Ramayana: The Legend of Prince Rama on September 28, 2009 at 2:00 pm. Ramayana: The Legend of Prince Ram is the epic poem of India, which narrates the journey of virtue to annihilate vice. ‘Ram’ is the hero and ‘Aayana’ his journey. This animated feature follows the story of Prince Ram who relinquishes his throne and accepts a 14-year exile to honour his father’s pledge. Make sure to watch this timeless tale centered on universal themes of love, friendship, family ties, selfless devotion, war and peace.
