As part of the celebrations, RJ Abhimanyu and RJ Anjali served Langer in Gurudwara.

‘Raahat Abhiyan’ is an initiative aimed at providing warm clothes to the weaker section of the city. With the winter chill having set in and especially so in northern India, BIG 92.7 FM India’s No. 1 FM Station, is enabling people to donate clothes and blankets for the needy. BIG 92.7 FM will collect warm clothes and blankets for the less privileged children who live in the slum areas and hence cannot afford to buy warm blankest to fight the winters. As part of this campaign, all the RJs will be appealing its listeners to come forward with some woolens which are not used by anyone in the house. On November 13, 2009 (World Kindness Day), RJs will visit the slum areas and distribute clothes to the needy.

As part of the ‘Sanjha Chulha’ campaign, food grains and other eatable items are also being collected for children. The collected food items will be handed over to a Gurudwara for further dissemination. BIG FM will also be celebrating Children’s Day by offering a special programming initiative called ‘Hum Bhi Agar Bachey Hotey’ where elderly people will recall their childhood memories with the RJs.

Speaking about the campaign, Siddharth Bhardwaj, Regional Director, North – I, BIG 92.7 FM, said, "The idea of collecting clothes came up from our Radio Jocks who wanted to do something for the kids living in the slum areas of the city. ‘Raahat Abhiyaan’ has been launched with an aim of providing help to those kids who cannot afford to have warm clothes to survive the extreme winter. Through this campaign, we are hopeful that the residents of this tri-city will come forward and donate generously and hence making this campaign successful."
