UTV World Movies expands its library to screen iconic Hollywood films

UTV World Movies has gained significant momentum in the last 1 year. After having screened the best of world cinema and continuing to broaden their space, UTV World Movies now –includes few of the best HOLLYWOOD films for the movie connoisseurs in its library. UTV World Movies now presents "Hollywood Crème de la crème" every Saturday at 10.30 PM.

Hollywood and the cinema of the United States has had a profound effect on cinema across the world since the early 20th century. World Movies has made a conscious effort to showcase films that are contemporary, glamorous, award winning & entertaining box-office hits. This new slot presents multiple award winning titles featuring the best of actors and directors ( Robert De Niro, Dustin Hoffman, Jack Nicolson, Steven Spielberg, Roman Polanski, David Lynch) that have inspired filmmakers around the world.

Watch "Shawshank Redemption" a modern classic directed by Frank Darabont, is voted as number two greatest film ever on IMDB. On 21st November watch "All the presidents’ men" – named as the best political thriller ever made: a real story based on reporters ( played by Dustin Hoffman and Robert Redford) who uncovered the Watergate scandal that led to President Nixon's resignation. A classic comedy "Private Benjamin" starring Goldie Hawn will also be aired on November 28th which is about a sheltered young high society woman who joins the army on a whim and finds herself in a more difficult situation than she ever expected. In the coming months, award winning movies like Chinatown, Rosemary’s baby, Two Jakes, Empire of the sun, Blair Witch Project, Swimming Pool etc will also be aired.
