In a week when English News Market in Chennai contracted by 17.8%, Market Share of NDTV HINDU recorded a gain of 9.6% placing it 2nd only to Times Now. A major factor contributing to the growing popularity of NDTV HINDU is it’s recently launched English talk show – Aircel Chennai Speaks Out on Sundays at 12.00 noon. The program, which focuses on civic and social issues, has been steadily gaining viewership across all age groups.

The other popular non-news shows during the weekend are The Big Pic, Super Shopper,

Business Line and Property Matters.

The news programmes continue to hold sway through the week with their local news
