The gamut of special programming on IBN7 will capture the imperative events of the year 2009 that witnessed several highs and lows from every walk of life. The special programming will feature shows ranging from political gossip to Bollywood shows, from cricket victories to famous personalities who left this world forever. The programming also features the Wish List of people for the New Year, the 10th anniversary of IC 814 hijack, Economic slowdown and Naxal attacks that shook the nation in the year 2009 and a lot more for the viewers.

10th anniversary of IC 814 hijack– The special program on the 10th anniversary of infamous IC 814 hijack will relive the traumatic incident and unfolds on ground and in air tactics of the hijack and its impact of the nation’s security. The special show will be aired on 24th Dec at 10 PM
Zameen kha gayee aasman kaise kaise– The show features key personalities like Michael Jackson, Maharani Gayatri Devi, and YSR who left this world forever. The special show will be aired on 26th Dec at 8 PM
Top 5– Starting from 27th Dec till 31st Dec at 6 PM the program will feature Top five Reality TV shows, Top Five Songs, Top Five Films and Top Five actor and actress of the year.
Bahut bura saal tha yeh– The special program on 28th Dec at 10 PM will focus on the worst things that hit the nation, like the economic recession, sky rocketing prices making inflation index go high, the problems with Delhi Metro, Naxal attacks, Mumbai blasts etc that left a bad taste and bitter memories.
Aao wish karein– The show will feature ten different things that we wish should happen in year 2010. The show will discuss and debate this wish list by reaching out to common man, celebrity, employees, business-men etc to know their wish list for 2010. The program will be telecast on 29th Dec at 10 PM.
Sabse aage Hindustani– The program will showcase India's victorious moments on cricketing ground and its journey of becoming the No. 1 team in Test Cricket. The show will be aired on 31st Dec at 6:30 PM
Saare zameen par– A show on politics and movies that will feature the likes of Laloo, Paswan, Advani, Thackeray, Karat etc who have got a jolt of their lives. In this years general and assembly elections these stalwarts find themselves at the edge. Also the show will talk about the big flicks at box office also many stars and super stars who failed to attract audiences to the theatre. The special program on movies will be aired on 30th Dec at 10 PM and on politics will be aired on 31st Dec at 10 PM
