Based on the success of our last year’s initiative of overnight reporting during IPL, we have now taken it to the next level – real-time ratings. Now the industry will receive the viewership data even when the match is going on – of course there will be a delay of 1-2 hr. In short, you will have the first inning ratings available during the second innings.

This will be available from our DTH panel as these meters are GPRS enabled and data is pushed in real-time to our server when the viewing is happening in the household. We call the reporting screen the ‘live-terminal’ it is akin to a stock market terminal, said Joseph Eapen, CEO, aMap.
