Based on the first-person account of US Marine Lieutenant Colonel Michael Strobl, this HBO Original Movie follows his poignant journey as the volunteer military escort officer assigned to accompany the body of a young fellow Marine killed in action in Iraq, across America back to his hometown of Dubois, Wyoming. Chronicling one of the silent, virtually unseen journeys that take place every day across the US, this drama bears witness to the fallen and all those who, literally and figuratively, carry them home.
