The biography of Guru Raaghavendra Swamy, the most revered Guru of the Kannada populace, will be telecast as a mega serial for the first time ever on television in India. The half-hour daily serial, 'Guru Raghavendra Vaibhava', will be start telecast on Suvarna from June 21st 2010, Monday-Friday at 10 pm.

M S Ramaiah Media and Entertainment P Ltd. has taken up the mammoth task of producing this epic story on a grand scale. "The story will unfold from the pre-sainthood of Guru Raaghavendra Swamy. His life and the daunting situations he encountered before he attained sainthood. The characters in the serial, which are set just before the arrival of the savior, set the stage right for the dawn of Sri Guru. Screenplay and direction have been done after a lot of research. The producer has given total support in this regard. There is no doubt that this serial will create a new benchmark for historical serials in Kannada", said Ba. La. Suresh, who has done the screenplay apart from taking care of dialogues and direction.

Art director Hosamane Murthy has recreated 14th & 15th century palace, mutts and other sets to picturize Guru Raaghavendra Swamy's early life. The story in the serial starts when the grandfather of the pre-sainthood Sri Guru Raghavendra and his family shift base to Kumbhakonam seeking refuge after the decline of Vijayanagara Kingdom. The interesting tidbits of early life of Sri Guru, his miracles are interestingly intertwined in this daily serial, which has a strong backing of historical research.

Silver screen actors like Srinivasa Murthy, Pavitra Lokesh, Shivaram, Umesh are acting in the serial. In addition to all of them, many new actors are roped in. `Guru Raghavendra Vaibhava' will be telecast on Suvarna from 21st June, Monday-Friday at 10 PM.
