Viacom18 adjudged the 'Best Place to Work' in the Media & Entertainment Industry

Viacom18, India's leading multimedia entertainment powerhouse has been recognized as India's best company in M&E industry and 26th across industries in India by the Great Place to Work Institute from over 400 participating companies.

Commenting on the award, Haresh Chawla, Group CEO – Viacom18, said, "We are extremely proud to be recognized as a Great Place to Work in, not only in the media segment but across sectors. The criterion for selecting Best Companies was primarily on the basis of the employees' responses to the Great Place to Work Trust Index© and the Culture audit that judges People Practices. The responses showed Viacom18 employees trust the people they work for, have pride in what they do and enjoy the company of people they work with. The 'Culture Audit' showed that Viacom18 followed several 'Best Practices' which is a key differentiator of Viacom18 work culture.

Great Place to Work Institute is a pioneer in studying and recognizing best workplaces around the world. For over 20 years, and in 40 countries, The Great Place to Work Institute has been conducting studies to identify & understand the Best Workplaces among the great places to work. The 2010 Study is the seventh Study in India, and the third year when the Great Place to Work Institute is conducting the Study as an independent entity. More than 400 companies registered to participate in the study making it the largest such study in India. Only 50 made it to the 'Best Companies to Work For' list, making it one of the toughest contests of this kind globally.
