Cartoon Network, India's number one kids' channel, is set to extend the soccer mania to the toon world with the launch of its latest hit series, 'Inazuma Eleven'.

Based on unrivalled passion for the game, 'Inazuma Eleven' follows the story of a weak but spirited soccer team that is on the verge of shutting down unless they defeat 'Teikoku Gakuen' - the strongest team in town. Starting July 2, 'Inazuma Eleven' will air every Friday at 4:00 p.m. only on Cartoon Network.

Sharing details about the show, Krishna Desai, Director, Programming, Turner International India Pvt. Ltd. said, "Cartoon Network has always led from the front in offering exciting, entertaining, compelling and topical content to our viewers. With the premiere of Inazuma Eleven in India we've kicked another goal and what better time to launch a soccer-based show than alongside the World Cup! Inazuma Eleven is such a great story of sportsmanship and team work that the world cup enthusiasm is sure to go beyond the football field to the on-screen field as well."

The Raimon Jr. High soccer team is a weak team with only seven players. The team captain, Mamoru Endo tries to call the team together, only to have it fall on deaf ears. The school lacks a real soccer club as the seven members do not appear very interested in practising. A once famous goalkeeper, Mamoru is stuck in a rut with nowhere to use his skills. One day Shuya Goenji a new kid comes to school. He is a famous striker known for his legendary super shot, "Fire Tornado". Mamoru's hopes perk up and he tries to rebuild the team by getting Shuya to join him, however, Shuya refuses to play. All looked to be working for the best, when it turns out that Shuya had quit soccer because of "an incident". One day they receive a request for a game from "Teikoku Gakuen", and are told that the soccer team will be shut down if they lose.

What will captain Mamoru do? Catch the action and excitement in 'Inazuma Eleven' only on Cartoon Network starting this July!
