The versatile singer and music composer came to Radio Mirchi to talk about his soulful, melodious track 'Sajnaa' from Lamhaa starring Sanjay Dutt, which is already creating ripples with its poignant storyline, stirring songs and powerhouse performances!
Mirchi listeners got a glimpse into Mika's exciting tryst with music in Bollywood. The singer shared with everyone his special bonds with all the music directors and how that lends a special touch to his chartbusting hits. Mika quoted examples of the unique synergy he enjoys with veteran music directors like Pritam and Vishal Bharadwaj and how that helps him croon the famous tunes of an energetic Mauja hi Mauha from 'Jab we met' or the feisty 'Ibn e Batuta' from Ishqiya.
All Mirchi lovers and RJ Neha were pleasantly surprised when they heard that Mika never intended to venture into Bollywood but did it for Sanjay Gupta when the director asked him to compose the famous 'Aye Ganpat' for Shootout at Lokhandwala. Mumbaikars and Mika fans were thrilled when they heard that Mika himself wrote, composed and sang 'Aye Ganpat'. When RJ Neha asked him how he made the song so rocking and delightful with its typical gangster elements, Mika in his mischievous manner replied, "Main khud ek zamane mein gunda hua karta tha!".
