Suvarna Channel is all set to beam yet another serial after the successful telecast of serials including "Sindhoora", "Lakumi", "Guru Raghavendra Vaibhava" and "Classmates" gaining recognition as a popular entertainment channel.
The new serial, "Yellantharalla Namma Raji" is a story based on the dreams and aspirations of youth in villages and small towns, says Anoop Chandrashekhar, Business Head, Suvarna Channel. "Raji is coming on the small screen as a representative of rural and small town people in a changing India", he adds.
"Yellaranthalla Namma Raji" has been extensively shot in the panoramic town of Madikeri of Kodagu district and directed by Hemanth Hegde of "Housefull" fame. "Happiness shared is happiness doubled is the essence of this serial", says Hemanth Hegde. The serial is based in a verdant village called Kanur, lined with trees and neat roads similar to the legendary village of Malgudi in "Malgudi Days."
After a talent search by director Hemanth Hegde, several new actors from across the State will make their debut in this serial. The photography is by Suresh Byrasandra, art direction by Pratap and background music by Kiran.
"Yellaranthalla Namma Raji" will be telecast from August 2, Monday to Friday at 7 pm.
