National Geographic Channel now launches in Telugu

Hyderabad, August 13, 2010

National Geographic Channel (NGC) today expanded its reach to a wider audience in India by launching in Telugu, the official language of Andhra Pradesh. Nat Geo will enable a larger spectrum of viewers in one of the largest states of India to `Live Curious' in their own language. The announcement was made at the press conference organized today at Hotel Taj Krishna where Tollywood superstar Nag Chaitanya unvieled the channel in the native language of Andhra Pradesh.

National Geographic Channel, which is currently available in Hindi and English will now also be available in Telugu showcasing the same award winning programs like 'Jailed Abroad' & 'Air Crash Investigations', to NGC specials like 'Strange Days on Planet Earth'. The best of NGC specials, events and signature series will now also be available throughout the week, 24x7 in Telugu.

Nat Geo will now be available in Telugu along with Hindi and English through distribution affiliates and cable network operators.
