Sony launches 'Sensational Sonu Nigam - Making of a Star'

Discovered by the late business tycoon Gulshan Kumar, this young star who is now an established singer states how without being formally trained in music, he grew up in the shadow of his father Agam Kumar Nigam. Sonu's life in Mumbai was difficult until he met the late Gulshan Kumar who liked the youngster's charm and perseverance, and got him started on a career singing cover versions. This was a good start for the fledgling singer. He settled down in Mumbai, called his family over to live with him after which there was no looking back.

Be it the 'Nightingale of India' Lata Mangeshkar or the 'Baadshah' of the Mumbai film industry Shah Rukh Khan, each and everyone has only good words to speak about him. However a lot of hard work has gone into being what it is to be a singing sensation- to be Sonu Nigam.
