Radio Misty celebrates Durga Puja with innovations

Radio Misty 94.3 fm the first and a Number one fm station of North Bengal and Sikkim celebrated Durga puja with fun and music. There were series of programmes and promotions to celebrate the festival with their listeners. Radio Misty is known for its innovative programming and music content in the country. Radio Misty started its celebrations with a high-powered on-air musical welcoming Goddess Durga on Mahalaya on 7th October at 4 am. The show ends with the legendary Birendra Krishna Bhadra chanting the Mahalaya Strotras.On this occasion Radio Misty 4 km Fraternity run was inaugurated by Veteran Cricketer Syeed Kirmani.Kirmani was at Radio Misty studios also to talk about his life and achievements.

Radio Misty teams made trips to puja pandals with lot of contests or to get the vibe of the festive spirit. Radio Misty team visited all puja pandals in the region to celebrate the festive mood of puja. Apart from this Radio Misty had alliances with best pandals of North Bengal. Celebrity Radio Jockeys of Radio Misty hosted game shows at this pandals. For listeners a contest is on air where attractive gifts are on offer. This contest got huge response from listeners. A special show was aired daily which followed the festival right from the initial stages to the idol immersion. It covered committee meetings, interviews with puja organizers, idol makers and priests and others.

While the on-air show 'Misty Pujo Parikrama' featured best pujas in all towns of North Bengal. Misty Yadein featured celebrities and VIPs of the region, Where they recalled their childhood memories of the and puja they celebrated and the festival in those days.

Radio Misty started with Misty Puja Sundari also, where Misty team visited different Puja Pandals in the region to for best talents. People were given Silver coins and other gifts on the spot. The mega final will be held soon where winner will be given a star studded crown with other gifts.

Immersion was taken live from all towns where RJ was stationed. Radio Misty had their phones lines and sms service open for 24 hours so listeners' could send their wishes.
