Rajkumar Hirani after giving super hits like Munna bhai and highest record breaking 3 idiots has turned his hobby into a full time profession which is directing ads. He loves the challenge of telling a story in 60 seconds therefore has started a separate ad division to direct ad films-spearheaded by Sanjiv Kishinchandani under the banner of Canvas films. One entire team has been now dedicated for this new division. Rajkumar Hirani has always been very passionate about directing ads and feels it's more challenging to make a 60 seconds add than a two hour film. Having worked with Kareena Kapoor and Amitabh Bachchan in the past many more actors are looking forward to work with him.
Rajkumar Hirani has always believed in meaningful cinema. With films like Munna Bhai MBBS, Lage Rahoo Munna Bhai and 3 idiots all have a strong message to give out similarly we will get to see more of such work in the ad world. Being one of the finest directors in India Cinema he has started spending a lot of his time for this new division and has taken his new profession very seriously.
