IBN18 Network returns with the 11th Edition of State of the Nation Poll

Everyone criticizes corruption but that does not mean that anyone has escaped from the flu of corruption. Last Year saw a series of scandals, controversies and mismanagement for India. >From the peons to the ministers every single one was involved in the shameful act of corruption. Now it's time to hear the citizens what they feel about this mammoth problem. In the 11th edition of the State of the Nation Poll, IBN18 Network in partnership with Outlook will delve deep into the serious issue of corruption to get the views of common man and how is it rotting the roots of our country. This bi-annual poll finding will be revealed by Sagarika Ghose on CNN-IBN and Sandeep Chaudhary on IBN7 in 2 half hour specials which will be aired on 24th January and 25th January with one hour special on 26th January.

Some of the major poll findings are as follows:

• Universally respondents feel the politicians are the most corrupt of all professions followed by Government officials/Bureaucrats and Police.

• Majority feel all parties are equally corrupt.

• Although corruption of Politicians perceived as a bigger threat, corruption of Government servants and officials also posing a threat to the society.

• More than half the respondents are not satisfied with the Prime Minister's handling of corruption in his government.

The poll includes the number of imperative questions that will sense the mood of the respondents on the gripping problem of our society. This Poll has been conducted by GFK Mode with over 1600 respondents aged between 18-65 years from 6 metros plus Lucknow and Ahmedabad.

Instituted in the year 2006, State of the Nation Poll highlights the contemporary issues affecting our society. The previous 10 Editions of State of the Nation covered issues like:
