After touring 27 countries last year, Apache Indian is in India for a live tour with his band—covering four cities Mumbai, Pune, New Delhi and Bangalore. He is also bringing his band The Reggae Revolution to India for the first time ever. In addition to the music, he spoke about his venture into Indian market with his own bars - Apache's Bar. In an exclusive interview with PlanetRadiocity.com,. He kick-starts his tour in Mumbai on 25 February 2011, followed with performances in Delhi, Bangalore and Pune.
Apache Indian said, "I am really glad that Radio City and PlanetRadiocity.com have given me this opportunity to talk about my album and other initiatives in India. India has evolved a lot of the years and the music scene is changing with the audience opening up to different genres like reggae, hip hop, rock etc. In the last 5-6 years, Bollywood music has also become very popular worldwide with audience other than Indians liking the music. Indian music is growing at a really fast pace."
Interestingly, the Reggae artist has already made a foray in Bollywood and will be seen in music director and singer Bappi Lahiri's soon to be released movie Love Story. "I am very excited about my Bollywood debut in Bappi Lahiri's Love Story. Although, I must add, I definitely need to take up some Hindi speaking and acting lessons," he guffawed.
