Superstar League hits the screens this April

Star Movies catering to the cricket fever in the country brings Superstar League in the month of April for its audiences.

The channel is all set to showcase special Hollywood blockbusters with your favorite Superstars, starting April 11, every Mon-Thurs at 11 pm, right after the IPL match. Superstar league is a two month property running on the channel in April & May and will showcase the biggest titles selected especially for its cricket fans.

To live up to the cricket Mania, Star Movies has handpicked a mix of critically acclaimed and the biggest popular Hollywood titles such as Alice in wonderland , From Paris with love, My best friend's wedding, Hollow man, Spiderman 3, Tomorrow never dies, The Hancock, National treasure and many more from its gallery. Match over, Superstar league shuru when the IPL fans switch to Star Movies to watch their favorite titles.

Saurabh Yagnik, GM & Senior VP, STAR India, adds, "Superstar League is a special initiative taken by Star Movies to contribute to the cricket fever in India. We will telecast this property right after the IPL match telecast ends, providing the viewers a post match entertainment experience."

As part of the marketing initiatives being undertaken for Superstar League, print campaign across Mumbai and Bangalore and advertisements on various websites and trade publications will be seen. Banners on cricket related websites such as Espnstar, Cricbuzz, Cricketnext are also being employed.

There will also be digital promotion through Facebook engaging more than 3.4 lakh fans and a unique first attempt to use Twitter, where 12 select twitter gurus will be shortlisted to battle for the badge of ambassador for The Superstar League. The Superstar League TVC will be played across the Star India Network and various news channels.

Star Movies has roped in Panasonic as the main sponsor and Make my trip as the co-sponsor for Superstar League. Citibank, Volkswagen, Ambipure and Tata Docomo will be seen as the associate sponsors.
