Red FM, the station for expression, today announced its association with the Mumbai round of the upcoming BSA Hercules India Cyclothon. The cyclothon which is slated to be held in Mumbai on the 24th of April 2011 promises to be bigger and better this year.
Popular youth icon and Bollywood actor Imran Khan has also pledged his support to the Mumbai cyclothon and will be cycling towards the cause of animal welfare. RJ Malishka, who hosts Morning No.1 (Mon-Fri 7-11am), will be cycling alongside Imran Khan on behalf of Red FM to lend support to the cause.
As part of its association, Red FM will be giving out free registrations to fifty (50) lucky listeners. Two (2) lucky listeners will also get to win bicycles autographed by none other than the Bollywood heartthrob - Imran Khan himself.
Speaking on the occasion, Nisha Naryanan Senior VP, Projects and Programming, "We are delighted to associate with the Mumbai Cyclothon for the second year running. Events such as these bring citizens together and promote a healthier, greener, more responsible lifestyle. At Red FM, we try and utilize the airwaves to highlight issues of public concern. Under 'Bajaao for a cause' we have raised money for children's education and their mid-day meals, spread awareness about HIV amongst others. By associating with the BSA Hercules Mumbai Cyclothon we are promoting cycling as a means to a fitter, greener lifestyle."
