SBI has a structural problem that our net NPAs are higher than most PSU banks

Pratip Chaudhuri in his exclusive interview to ET Now mentioned that the bank has recognized a problem in NPAs and considers it to be an area that requires whole hearted attention from the bank's top management as the net NPAs of SBI is higher than most other PSU banks.

On the bank's plans for this year, Mr. Chaudhuri said that the bank would redouble their efforts in keeping the deposit rates at 20%-23% and loan growth target at 17%-20% and hopes that this is a one-off quarter and one-off year, one that he would like to forget.
