The former captain of Team India Sourav Ganguly is all set to open a new innings as host of ‘Ke Hobey Banglar Kotipoti’, the Bangla version of the popular international game show ‘Who Wants to Be a Millionaire’, on Mahuaa Bangla. The show goes on air from Monday, June 6, 2011.
‘Who wants to be a Millionaire’ a hit show in over 110 countries is for the first time being produced in Bengali. ‘Ke Hobey Banglar Kotipoti’ will be in tune with the standard format of ‘Who Wants to be a Millionaire’ with contestants attempting 15 questions for a prize money of Rs 1 crore. The ever enthusiastic Bengali community gets a chance to exercise their intellect with the iconic cricketer-anchor Sourav Ganguly.
Across the world, the show is about social inclusion that has ordinary people participating to change their lives and it is no exception in its new Bengali avatar. The participants and viewers belonging to the Bengali community across the globe will share wonderful moments with their beloved ‘Dada’ Sourav Ganguly sitting on the Hot Seat.
As host of the show Sourav is overjoyed and looking forward to meeting his fans. He shares the same enthusiasm as that of participants and viewers.
The man behind this "Ke Hobey Banglar Kotipoti" is none other than the grand quiz master of India Mr. Siddhartha Basu and his leading production house BIG Synergy, who have licensed the format for the region from 2waytraffic, a Sony company, and produced all the previous versions of this game-show.
