94.3 Radio One 'One Mumbai, One Music completes 50 episodes'

94.3 Radio One's show One Mumbai One Music, the weekly dose of multi-genre music reached the 50 episode milestone on 16 July 2011.

Introduced to the radio world as the first ever show in Mumbai, 'One Mumbai One Music' has set the standards for innovative programming strongly establishing 94.3 Radio One as a music specialist in the sea of generalist radio channels.

The show, hosted by MJ Mihir, was launched on 30 July 2010 and has since offered an interactive platform for music artistes, both established and new across genres. Over the year, this path-breaking initiative has focused on music in the genres of Funk, Rock, Indie Rock, DJ mixes, Fusion, Indipop, Marathi, Ghazals…ALL under ONE platform!

The show has featured more than 200 artists, offering listeners music from established artists like Akriti Kakar, Roop Kumar & Sunali Rathod, Parikrama, Vikas Bhalla, Kaushal Inamdar, Anand Bhate, Shibani Kashyap, Raghav Sachar, Chin2 Bhosle, Sidharth-Suhas, Uday Benegal, Kavita Seth, Neha Bhasin, Raghav, Suraj Jagan, Sona Mohapatra, Gary Lawyer, Ali Zafar, Ishq Bector, Sanjay Maroo, The Shillong Chamber Choir, Bombay Rockers and Vishal Dadlani. Not just this, upcoming artists like Hamza Faruqui, Somesh Mathur, Kuhoo Gupta, Kishan Amin, Varsha, Shriram Iyer, Tamir Khan, Shashank Singh, Talaash, Omkar, Raman Mahadevan and Die OberBayern, Sherrin Varghese and Sidharth-Suhas.

The show has also seen an on-ground extension where 94.3 Radio One raised a live concert featuring the legendary singer Jagjit Singh where the maestro gave upcoming singer Shriram Iyer, an opportunity to open the concert and showcase his talent before an audience.
