Adhering to the promise of providing fresh and innovative content that reflect the various intricacies of human relationships , STAR Pravah, Maharashtra’s favourite Entertainment Channel, now brings to its viewers ‘Don Kinaare…Doghi Aapan’, a touching tale of a daughter’s quest to attain her mother’s love and vice versa. Starting October 3rd, Monday-Saturday at 7 pm, the show will explore the unfathomable bond of a mother and daughter that is sure to touch the heart strings of the audiences. The show replaces the popular ‘Man Udhan varyache’ which comes to an end on October 1st.
The story explores the multifaceted relationship between Tanaya, Sadhana and Asmita. Tanaya (Trishala Shah) has spent her childhood craving for her mother, Asmita’s (Kishori Shahane) attention. She is oblivious to the presence of Sadhana (Suchitra Bandekar), her biological mother. While Asmita cannot stand the sight of Tanaya, Sadhana who is in search of her estranged daughter, longs to shower her with motherly love and affection.
Commenting on this refreshing concept, Shrabani Deodhar, Head of Programming, STAR Pravah says,” Don Kinaare…Doghi Aapan is an attempt to break away from the generic portrayal of a mother daughter relationship we have seen so far on Indian Television. The show is bound to make the audiences relate to Sadhana’s motherly anxieties and feel for Tanaya’s predicament as she will essay a quandary of decisions about her existence and her life but manage to hold fort and move on to find all the answers.
