PVR Pictures along with Reliance Home Video and Games have announced the official release of ‘The Rum Diary’ DVD. The DVD was launched on 14 February 2012 in India.
‘The Rum diary’ is a movie which talks about the increasingly disturbed story of the travel journalist Paul Kemp. Kemp, who lives in New York, gets tired of the constant noise and madness in the city and travels to a serene island of Puerto Rico to write for a local newspaper. How he manages to find a balance between his job, the island culture and the expatriates who live there forms the main idea of the story.
‘The Rum Diary’ is based on a novel by Hunter S Thompson. The movie stars Johnny Depp, Giovanni Ribisi and Aaron Eckhart. The movie has been directed by Bruce Robinson, which is also his first directorial in nineteen years, since ‘Jennifer’ which was released in the year 1992.
