Vh1 India presents one the biggest International music nights – The Billboard Music Awards 2012, presented by Flying Machine. The popular awards night showcases the biggest names from the music industry who have inspired as well entertained audiences with their performances across the globe. It celebrates great talent of contemporary music by honoring artists who attract their fans through fresh and new music. The awards night will see top artists being recognized in various genres including R&B, Rap, Pop, Country, Rock, Latin, Alternative and many more. The Billboard Music Awards 2012 will take place at Las Vegas' MGM Grand and will air LIVE on May 21, 2012 at 6.30am on Vh1 India, with a prime time repeat at 8.00pm.
The Billboard Music Awards 2012 will be hosted by Emmy award-winning TV couple, Julie Bowen and Ty Burrell, who play mom and dad in the hit comedy sitcom “Modern Family”. The hot TV couple will share the stage with some amazingly talented artists like Justin Bieber, LMFAO, Katy Perry, Chris Brown, Nicki Minaj, Jennifer Lopez and Usher amongst others, who promise to set the stage on fire with some unforgettable performances.

Meanwhile, the Top New Artist category is full of fresh talent with finalists including Bad Meets Evil, Big Sean, Foster the People, Scotty McCreery and Wiz Khalifa. The awards will also reflect Billboard's chart rankings that are based on various parameters including album sales, track downloads, radio airplay as well as star interaction on digital platforms like Facebook, Twitter, Vevo, Youtube, Spotify and other popular online music destinations.
