Dainik Bhaskar celebrated its 2nd anniversary of entering Jharkhand. Dainik Bhaskar Group had entered Jharkhand with the launch of Ranchi edition in August 2010, and rapidly followed with the Jamshedpur and Dhanbad edition in December 2010 and April 2011 respectively.
Dainik Bhaskar offers its readers a tailor-made newspaper as per their needs and expectations. It is a voice of the area with a deep sense of reader connect and quality, unbiased news reporting – and that has lead to its tremendous success across editions.
As part of the celebration, a special 16 page issue was released along with the main newspaper. Dainik Bhaskar in Jharkhand has been a voice raising the citizen concern on infrastructural development and the progress across the state. Last year on the first anniversary the special issue had spoken about the thought of “Badlav Miljulkar”- collective change. This year the special 16 page issue highlighted the socio-economic changes witnessed by the state in last few years, taking it that much closer to achieving the dream state status.
While at one end it celebrated the new hope of Peace brought out by security forces, Record rice cultivation, increased forest coverage, new surge of corporate entering Jhrakhand, increased and enhanced tourism. On the other side it brought focus to the areas where work needs to be speeded up with detailed action plans, these included corruption, the lethargic and hence ineffective of Govt machinery in stopping deforestation. Lack of food-processing and storage network- even after huge surge in fruits production and lack of health services at grass root level.
The issue picked up impression- thoughts and possible action in the field of investment, health, education, culture, agriculture, literature forest cover, Village governance, sport and tourism.
The group believes that the newspaper is at the heart of this very change; subtly infusing thoughts and prompting action with help of its readers. In a way it plays a positive role in shaping local thoughts by creating well informed aware citizen community of readers who are the catalyst for desired socio-economic change.
Perceived as the voice reflecting need- desire and ambitions of the readers, Dainik Bhaskar has successfully bridged the gap for a National Hindi Newspaper. It has yet again demonstrated and reiterated the philosophy of positive persistence- ZIDD- reinforcing the thought of “Zidd Karo Duniya Badlo” - Zidd for a better today, a hopeful tomorrow and a promising future.
