DreamWorks Dragons: Riders of Berk brings High-Flying, Fire-Breathing Fun to Cartoon Network, Feb 24 onwards

Cartoon Network is all set to take the fantasy-adventure quotient soaring to the sky with the launch if its latest acquisition series - DreamWorks Dragons: Riders of Berk. Produced by DreamWorks Animation SKG, Inc., this new weekly show premieres on February 24 and airs every Sunday at 4 p.m. only on Cartoon Network.

Inspired from the movie How To Train Your Dragon, this weekly animated series follows the continuing adventures of teen dragon trainer Hiccup and his dragon Toothless along with a band of other teen dragon trainers, all of whom now have dragons of their own! Through their training, the kids develop special bonds with their dragons by learning about each dragon’s unique powers, discovering entirely new species and battling against new villains as they explore whole new worlds they never dreamed existed!

DreamWorks Dragons: Riders of Berk, is an epic adventure-comedy series that centers on the unique friendship and special bond between the kids living on the island Berk and the dragons that they once feared. Viewers can embark on adventurous journeys filled with high-flying action combined with humorous moments as they enter into the mythical world of Vikings and Dragons.

DreamWorks Dragons: Riders of Berk features an all-star line-up of voice talent, including Jay Baruchel (Hiccup), America Ferrera (Astrid), Christopher Mintz-Plasse (Fishlegs) and T.J. Miller (Tuffnut), all of whom are original cast members from the feature film, which was among the top ten movies of 2010 grossing approximately $500 million at the global box office. The series promises to be as visually appealing as the movie with awe-inspiring characters, backdrops and action. DreamWorks Dragons: Riders of Berk is a weekly series that premieres on Sunday, February 24 at 4 p.m. only on Cartoon Network.

Cartoon Network began the new year by soaring to No. 2 position behind POGO, thereby driving Turner kids’ network to No. 1 position in the kids’ genre with 44% relative share (TAM | 4-14yrs | Wk 1-6 2013 | All India).
