With an illustrious 5-year run behind it, Mahuaa, the first ever 24X7 Bhojpuri General Entertainment Channel, is all set to launch the third season of the superhit ‘Sur Sangram’. Corresponding to the success of the first two seasons, the show will be produced by Mahuaa and Gajendra Singh of Saaibaba Telefilms.

Ground audutions begin on 8th September 2013, in cities across UP, Bihar and Jharkhand- i.e., Varanasi, Baliya, Gorakhpur, Noida, Patna, Purnia, Bhagalpur, Ranchi, Dhanbad, Jamshedpur and Muzaffarpur.
According to Partha Dey, Vice President and Programming Head of Mahuaa Media Pvt. Ltd., ‘Sur Sangram Season 3’ will be the channel’s expression of gratitude for its viewers, with the desire to strengthen the relationship that it has formed with them. The two blockbuster seasons of ‘Sur Sangram’ made Mahuaa a household name, as the channel became more than a part of its viewers’ lives. With the most viewed Grand Finale episodes in the history of regional reality television, the forerunning seasons of ‘Sur Sangram’ went on to produce a mine of talent. The winners of both seasons have hundreds of hit Bhojpuri and Hindi film songs to their credit. In the all new third season, reality television will take on a new tone, as participants from Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, and now Jharkhand, will compete on the famed and extraordinary stage of ‘Sur Sangram’.
‘Sur Sangram Season 3’ will be hosted by Bhojpuri superstar Ravi Kishan, who has invoked his magic on the small screen time and again, apart from being the highlight in hundreds of Hindi and Bhojpuri films. On the judges panel, we will see Indian folk singer Malini Awasthi (renowned in Hindustani Classical music, and known for singing in several Indian languages)and artist Kalpana Patowary, who has made a mark in the Bhojpuri music industry and impacted audiences everywhere.
The show is set for an October launch, but the buzz around the much-awaited auditions is already making its presence felt.
