Star World Premiere and Star World Announce a Host of New Shows for the New Year

Star English Bouquet has announced a fantastic line-up for the New Year with a host of new shows that will air on Star World and Star World Premiere in 2014.

Star World Premiere which launched in September 2013, has already taken the TV viewers by storm with its dynamic content. The channel is a pioneering initiative by the Star network to present brand new content to their Indian audiences with the latest episodes of their favorite shows broadcasting simultaneously in the US. Viewers can now watch all the popular shows as they air in the west without having to wait for the latest episodes.

Speaking on the occasion Kevin Vaz, General Manager – English channels, Star India, said, “We’ve got some great shows scheduled to air in the New Year, we will be showing new seasons of a few old favorites as well as some brand new shows. 2014 is going to see some excellent television content from the Star Network.”

Come January, Star World Premiere will see a new action Sci-Fi show titled Intelligence where Josh Holloway stars as former Delta Force turned U.S. Cyber Command über-agent in a crime thriller that explores the unlimited possibilities of technology. With a special microchip implanted in his brain, he has become the first super computer with a beating heart. The channel will also air the latest season of American Horror Story – Coven, an anthology series that centers on different characters and locations, including a haunted house, an insane asylum and a witch coven.

Star World Premiere is also expected to air a new comedy/drama called Rake in February that follows the chaotic world of criminal defense lawyer Cleaver Greene played by Greg Kinnear.

A new comedy/drama that will air on Star World is Bunheads, the tale of Michelle Simms, a former ballerina 'bunhead' who wound up as a Las Vegas showgirl. Star World will also feature new seasons of some old favorites like Melissa and Joey starring Melissa Joan Hart, a local politician, alone with her niece, Lennox, and nephew, Ryder. She hires a man named Joe to become the family's male nanny, or "manny". The channel will also air the first and second season of Suburgatory a series that follows George Altman, a single father who decides to get away from New York City to the suburbs so he can give his teenage daughter, Tessa, a better life.

Star India Network is all set to kick start 2014 with a fantastic line-up for their audiences and will provide the best content for viewing the most popular shows on American television today.
