Auction of the second batch of private FM radio Phase III channels is over. At the end of the bidding, Sambhaav Media Ltd got total 13 FM stations in India. Out of total 13 stations, 8 stations are in Gujarat and 5 stations are in Jammu & Kashmir.
Information & Broadcasting ministry has allotted following frequencies to Sambhaav Media Ltd.
Gujarat: Jamnagar: 91.9 , Junagarh: 91.9 , Mehsana; 92.7 , Bharuch: 105.2 , Godhra: 93.1, Bhavnagar: 93.1 , Porbandar: 93.5, Veraval: 93.5
Jammu & Kashmir: Kargil: 91.1 , Leh: 91.1 , Kathua: 91.1 , Poonch: 94.3 , Bhaderwah: 94.3
Operational work of the station will start within a week. All new places will have their own FM station in few months.
On this development Company’s Chairman & Managing Director Shri Kiran Vadodaria said, we are starting a new journey by having a bouquet of 13 FM station in the country. These stations will reach out to approx 20 million population. The way India’s infrastructure is developing, tire 2 & 3 cities are having huge potential and these cities are developing very fast. In Gujarat, cities like Jamnagar, Bhavnagar, Mehsana , etc are well developed. In J&K also places like LEH are like heaven on the earth but these places are missing out with their own FM station.
Name of the FM being finalized, we will announce the name very soon.
Sambhaav Media Ltd is having other media verticals also: Vtv news –a 24x7 news channel, Sambhaav Metro-a daily afternoon tabloid, Abhiyaan-a weekly & Wise Tv- transit media.
