Mathrubhumi Group Kerala’s formidable media group’s print division was recently conferred with Best in Print ( above 50 k copies circulation) award at 16th Asian Media Awards 2017 , edging out competition from major media organisations throughout Asia- Pacific, South Asia and Middle East.
The bronze award was presented to Mathrubhumi Kollam edition at Publish Asia 2017 gala dinner by World Association of Newspapers and News publishers (WAN IFRA) in Kuala Lumpur. The award was received by Prathap Chandran, Sr engineer, Kollam-Mathrubhumi, from Manfred Werfel, Deputy CEO, Wan-ifra and Patrick Daniel, Asia Pacific Chairman, world editors forum, Wan- Ifra The 16th edition received over 400 entries for the award this year, judged by a panel of 25 international media executives.

The Asian Best in print awards is presented to newspapers deserving recognition for their excellence in standardised printing. It recognises the ability of newspaper to print consistently high quality adhering to international standards.
The Asian Media Awards is organised by the World Association of Newspapers and News Publishers (Wan-Ifra), a non-profit organisation which represents over 18,000 news publishers in 120 countries.
WAN-IFRA's 16th Asian Media Awards aim to promote the highest publishing standards in the fields of newspaper and magazine design, infographics, printing, editorial content, marketing, community service and photojournalism.
