Sahara to produce television content and movies for Tollywood

In a bid to acquire a regional flavour, the media arm of Sahara India is all set to produce television content and movies in Tollywood. The group has recruited leading film personality Prosenjit Chatterjee to oversee various aspects of the project. He will be designated as Vice President.

In a written communiqué, Subrata Roy, chairman, Sahara India said, " Sri Buddhadeb Bhattacharya, Honourable Chief Minister of West Bengal was keen on the involvement of Sahara in these production. I have always admired his strong and honest desires for all round development in the state."

The statement added "Bengal's rich literature and cinematic talent will also help us offer high quality television entertainment to viewers of Sahara TV".
