This summer, India will witness millions of kids chase their dreams with Hungama TV’s, ‘John Aur Kaun?’ Talent Hunt. Hungama TV today announced the biggest ever talent hunt for kids in India. The winners, 1 boy and 1 girl, will get the break of a lifetime… they will get to act with John Abraham in a movie produced by UTV Motion Pictures, the Producers of Rang De Basanti! Not only that, they will also win rupees five lakhs and a 3-year contract with UTV to manage their career.
Applications will open in the third week of May and kids should watch Hungama TV for more details on how to apply. After scanning through all the applications, Hungama TV will short list 1000 candidates in each of the 5 audition cities. The channel will tour these 5 cities - Mumbai, Delhi, Ahmedabad, Kolkata and Hyderabad - through the months of June and July with an eye to identify the most talented kids aged between 7 & 14 years. The selection criteria for the talent hunt will be performance based – Acting and Dance. 8 kids will be selected per city making up a total of 40 kids, and these kids will go through a comprehensive training process in Mumbai, during which the judges will take on the challenging task of whittling down these 40 aspirants to the deserving few till the final round. The 2 winners, out of the final 4 contestants, will be selected on the basis of viewer voting through an SMS/ IVR exercise. The entire hunt from the city level auditions to the Grand Finale in Mumbai will be televised as a reality show produced by UTV capturing all the drama & excitement of the Hunt and will be telecast on Hungama TV. Ernst & Young will audit the entire selection process.
Oral B is the branding sponsor for the ‘John Aur Kaun?’ hunt. Co-presenting sponsors are Bournvita, Maggi and Sunfeast Dream Cream Biscuits. Associate sponsors are Dermi Cool, Waffy, Tata Salt, Add Gel Achiever and prize sponsor is Mitashi Edutainment Ltd. The hunt will be promoted extensively by official Radio partner, Radio City, by Print & Online partner, the Times Group across their online portal, print publications and Planet M stores and national news channel partner, Star News are part of a strategic tie up. The Hunt will also be extensively promoted via an integrated marketing campaign using Print, Outdoor, Television, Radio and the Internet.
