Radio City turns one in Mumbai

On the occasion of its first anniversary, since launching operations in Mumbai, Radio City 91 FM, the station promoted by Music Broadcast Pvt. Ltd, will unveil eight new shows on June 2, across its network of stations in Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore and Lucknow.

The objective, according to Sumantro Dutta, chief operating officer, Radio Division, Star India, is to provide radio listeners "variety in radio programming" with the aim to "consistently strengthen Radio City's position as a non-stop entertainment destination for listeners in the city". "Fun filled content and humour will give a greater pull to the station's programming and will offer listeners a compelling reason to stay tuned 24 hours a day," he says.

The shows to be launched include Pareshaan Hoon Main, every Thursday at 10.00 am, Rollywood Presents, every Friday at 10.00 am, Public City at 8.00 am everyday, Santa Banta Pvt. Ltd at 8.30 am, Babbar Sher at 9.00 am, Kya Baat Kar Raha Hai at 9.30 am, Popat, every Wednesday at 10.00 am and Shanta Bai at 1.00 pm every afternoon.

Apart from mainline programmes, the station will also launch six new on-air features or interspecials. These features can be caught several times a day and are aimed to spice up programming.
