Sohrabji will lead the Southeast Asian markets of Singapore, Malaysia, Philippines, Indonesia, Vietnam and Thailand for OMD, PHD and M2M.
Omnicom Media Group (OMG) has promoted Jasmin Sohrabji as CEO of SEA and India. Effective June 3, Sohrabji will lead the Southeast Asian markets of Singapore, Malaysia, Philippines, Indonesia, Vietnam and Thailand for OMD, PHD and M2M - brands of Omnicom Media Group. She will also continue to lead Omnicom Media Group India as CEO.
Meanwhile, the agency has also appointed Cheuk Chiang as the new CEO of Omnicom Media Group, APAC. Chiang replaces Barry Cupples, who is the outgoing CEO and will move on to take the position of CEO, global investment and accountability, a new role at Omnicom Media Group's executive board level.
Under the sub-regional structure, Doug Pearce, CEO of OMG China, will have added responsibilities of Greater China, overseeing Hong Kong and Taiwan, while Leigh Terry will continue to lead OMG's operations in Australia and New Zealand. Sohrabji, along with Doug Pearce and Leigh Terry, will report to Chiang.
Sohrabji joined Omnicom Media Group in 2007 with the mandate of setting up OMD's India operations. OMD has metamorphosed to one of India's fastest growing media agencies today, with an impressive roster of clients.
