NEW DELHI, September 12

Swiss watchmaker Tissot has launched its latest offering, PR 100 X Flyback Chrono Alarm in the Indian market. This is a fully analog watch, the first of its kind, with alarm and flyback features.

Sculpted in steel, with a red seconds sweep and bright dial, PR 100 X essentially has the persona of a sports watch. Apart from an analog alarm, the watch is endowed with the flyback feature. The flyback feature is unique in allowing the reset and start of a timing action with the single push of a button.

PR 100 X carries a price tag of Rs 21,000 and is clearly aimed at the upmarket audience. The watch is available in premier showrooms across Delhi and Calcutta.

Tissot, part of the 3.6-billion Swiss francs Swatch group, has compartmentalised its product offerings in India under three broad segments -- sport, chic and regional. PR 50, PR 100, PR 200 and PRS 200 are the models currently available in the sports segment. In the chic segment, Tissot offers Ballade, T-Collection, Carmen & Pockets and the regional line comprises of the Seastar quartz and automatic.

Tissot had entered the Indian market in September 1999. A year on, it has developed a distribution network of 53 outlets across the country.
