Parle Agro consolidates biz with Grey

The brands include Frooti, Appy, Bailley, N-joi and V3 Gyms

The Mumbai office of Grey Worldwide India has bagged the creative and strategy duties of the entire brand portfolio of Parle Agro. The brands include flagship brand Frooti, apple juice Appy, Bailley mineral water, the milk drink N-joi and V3 Gyms.

In the deciding round, Grey was up against Lowe. And, the decision to award the business to Grey was taken early on Thursday morning, as reported by agencyfaqs!

This big win comes close on the heels of the agency bagging three other businesses over the last week. These include PlastIndia, Asia's largest Plastic Exposition; NexPress, a Kodak Company; and Lazer Blades.

Explaining the reason for giving the business to Grey, Nadia Chauhan, head of Innovative Marketing, Parle Agro says, "We saw a great team effort from Grey. What even impressed us more was the involvement and dedication of the agency's senior most people. Moreover, Grey's creative approach was very much in line with ours and therefore, we decided to award the business to Grey.”

Needless to say, Grey is excited about the win. And, there are two clear reasons for that. The first has got to do with the prestige value attached to the brands that Grey has won. And second, the size of the account.

Talking about the Parle Agro win, Nirvik Singh, chairman, South Asia, Grey Global Group, says, "I'm delighted that Parle Agro chose to consolidate its entire portfolio with us.” He adds, "Parle Agro is the market leader and Frooti is one of India's most well-known brands. We are obviously delighted with the opportunity to get to work on such an iconic brand and it's a great way for us to end the year.”

Besides Parle Agro, the other major accounts with Grey are ITC, Samsung, Hyundai, Britannia, Wrigley, Sara Lee, Marico, Kinetic and Lee jeans.
