Brand Portrait wins Franch, Sunidra Mattresses

The agency pegs the cumulative billing size to be around Rs 10 crore

Brand Portrait, a five-month old Chennai agency, has won a string of new businesses. The agency pegs the annualised billing size to be around Rs 10 crore.

The most recent account acquisition happened when Franch Herb Technolgies (of Franch Oil fame) aligned its Franch Health Clinic brand with Brand Portrait.

Franch Health Clinic is a new concept in health marketing. The clinic harnesses the power of alternate therapies to treat chronic diseases, enrolling doctors from Ayurveda and Naturopathy.

Raj Narain, one of the founders of the agency, says, “We are doing things that clients expect their agencies to provide. Result orientation, evolving and implementing strategy and linking fees to success.

Venu Gopal Nair, another founder, adds, "We would rather be evaluated on the successes we achieve for our clients than the amount of money we spend in the media". He goes on to say, "We tell our clients that we do not want a brief, as much as a clear articulation of their problems. We can work from there to jointly evolve a solution".

This agency claims that its strategy is working fine. During the past four months, the agency has won two brands from the Rs 650 crore Empee Group, Chaitanya Group with interests in restaurants & real estates, Sunidra mattresses from the Eastern group in Cochin, International Flavours and Fragrances (earlier Bush Boake Allen), Tube Products of India (strips and tubes divisions), ABL Technologies, and Terumo Penpol, a leading medical equipment manufacturer.

Narain says, "We are talking to a many more clients and expect to sign a few more deals over the next fortnight or so".
