He will head the agency's Bangalore operations
Saurabh Saksena, group business director, Mudra Communications, Delhi, will now play a key role in the agency's plans down South. In his new capacity, Saksena will oversee Mudra's operations in Bangalore apart from pushing standards in the South.
Saksena joined Mudra in 2000, as head of the Hewlett-Packard business. He then went on to work on McDonalds and then headed the business nationally. He worked closely with McDonald's franchisees to grow the business in India and also led the team to win a wide industry recognition.
He is currently heading the Reliance Energy and Dainik Jagran businesses among others
at Mudra, Delhi.
Commenting on the change, S. Radhakrishnan, head - Mudra South, said, "We have ambitious plans for Bangalore, which is a key operation for Mudra South. Saurabh will play a big part in these plans. We have done some wonderful award winning brand work at Bangalore and we will look to Saurabh to push the envelope."
Saksena, on his part, said, "After heading a business unit in Delhi, I am now ready to take on more challenges. Mudra Bangalore represents a great opportunity to work in a different market. My mandate is to manage and grow businesses, and to nurture talent. Mudra Bangalore has managed some great brands with an excellent group of people. My immediate thrust is to drive growth; and ramp up our brand building work."
He has over 12 years of experience in the marketing, advertising and communications industry. He began his advertising career with Clarion, Delhi, where he worked on brands like Carrier air-conditioners, Oracle Software, Modern Suitings and a social project of Population Services International.
After a four-year stint there, he joined O&M, where he spent around three-and-a-half years, working on Center fresh (Perfetti), Electrolux Kelvinator, Tulsi Zarda and Gutkha, among others.
