Rediffusion wins over Mumbai jeweller TBZ

The win comes close on the heels of Rediffusion winning the advertising account of Nutrine

Rediffusion DY&R has won the advertising account of Tribhovandas Bhimji Zaveri & Sons, popularly referred to as TBZ, in a competitive pitch. The business includes creative, media and planning. The pitch was led by Prashant Godbole and Zarwan Patel, vice-presidents and executive creative directors at Rediffusion.

Before the account moved to Rediffusion, it was with Madison Creative. Though all the names of the agencies in the fray could not be ascertained, according to senior executives at Rediffusion, Ambience Publicis, Saatchi & Saatchi and Mudra Communications were in the running.

The size of the business is likely to be modest. However, for the agency, it is a great opportunity to work on a brand with a 150 years of historical legacy.

“TBZ is one of the oldest retail shops of gold, diamond and silver jewellery. It is a great name to be associated with,” says Madan Mohan, vice-president, Rediffusion DY&R.

Rediffusion is certainly on a winning spree, picking up businesses in quick succession.

The agency had recently picked up the Nutrine account in Chennai in a multi-agency pitch. The size of the Nurtine business, which is estimated to be in region of Rs 10 crore, had the likes of Mudra, Saatchi & Saatchi, RK Swamy/BBDO, Ambience Publicis, G3 Communications and TBWA India vying for it.

Then, Onida’s washing machines and air-conditioners portfolio too have moved to Rediffusion in recent weeks. Now, with the exception of colour TV brand Igo, the agency handles washing machines, air-conditioners and the CTV business for Onida. Rediffusion, of course, had been servicing Onida's CTV business for some time now... © 2005 agencyfaqs!
