McCann's Neeraja Shiknis joins Everest Delhi

Shiknis would be reporting to Rajeev Rakshit, who is heading the Delhi office

Neeraja Shiknis has joined the Delhi office of Everest Brand Solutions as the deputy general manager. Shiknis would be reporting to Rajeev Rakshit, who is heading the Delhi office. She moves from McCann-Erickson, Delhi.

Explaining Shiknis’ mandate, Aniruddha Banerjee, COO, Everest Brand Solutions, says, “Neeraja would be handling the Hitachi and Aaj Tak brands and, of course, would be responsible for business development as well.”

As Everest Delhi is on a business acquisition mode, Shiknis’ experience with the FMCG industry is very valuable for Everest.

Rakshit describes Shiknis as the brand ambassador for the Delhi office. “She is very good and has a knack for handling complicated pitches.”

On her part, Shiknis is quite excited about her profile at Everest and the growth opportunities it offers.

Shiknis launched her career in advertising with O&M in 1995. After a four-and-a-half year stint at O&M, she moved to Publicis. After which, Shiknis decided to switch over to the other side and joined L'Oréal as a group product manager. Post-L'Oréal, she had a short stint at Mattel and moved back to advertising. Shiknis joined McCann-Erickson and worked on brands such as Balsara, Vaseline, Shaw Wallace and Western Union.

Shiknis’ appointment is being seen as yet another step towards strengthening Everest's Delhi office. This news comes close on the heels of Everest unveiling its new identity Everest Brand Solutions. The identity has been evolved with the objective of partnering its clients in fulfilling their brand objectives. The agency has physically undergone structural changes towards achieving that.
